THE ZINE PROJECT
The Zine Project is currently taking applicants!
Zine is a 16-hour-a-week, 8-week creative writing program that pays $12 per hour. During the internship, the youth creates a 16-page Zine that consists of a variety of creative talents.
For example, one student wrote lyrics in his Zine, then attached a CD to their Zine because music was his thing. Another youth made a Zine of comics. The program is very flexible, and also goes on various outings, such as sailing, visiting museums, or hiking.
The program takes place Monday through Wednesday, 10:30am-2:30pm, and Thursday from 12-4pm.
To be eligible, the youth needs to have two forms of ID, be currently homeless, and be between the ages of 16 and 22. If interested, please complete the application found below.
To apply, please email your application to Crystal Sharp at email@example.com.
