About Regional Access Point (RAP)
Solid Ground’s Regional Access Point (RAP) supports King County’s Coordinated Entry (CE) to ensure that people experiencing homelessness have equitable access to housing resources to resolve their housing crises.
RAP Data Entry & Administrative Assistant
This volunteer position supports the RAP team in the following ways:
- Enter data into Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to provide services to people experiencing homelessness.
- Enroll callers into the internal database (Caseworthy).
- Listen to callers’ voicemail messages and transcribe them as needed from Excel spreadsheet.
Time Commitment
Volunteers in this role would need to be available 3-5 days per week for 3-6 hours weekly, with a 3-day minimum. Volunteers could potentially volunteer later in the evenings if necessary. We ask that volunteers be able to commit to this role for 6 months.
Qualifications
- Ability to commit to a regular schedule and communicate changes.
- Age 18 or older.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills and willingness to maintain data integrity.
- Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook).
- Work effectively alone and in a team atmosphere as necessary.
- Willingness and ability to work with people from a variety of racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds, with various lifestyles, sexual orientations, and of all ages.
