At Solid Ground, we believe poverty is solvable – but we can’t do it alone! Our volunteers are invaluable. Like us, they are dedicated to undoing racism and promoting social justice. Together we meet basic needs, nurture success, and spread change.
To Volunteer with Solid Ground, please complete the following:
1) Online Volunteer Application
Please fill in as much information as you can in the online application below, as it helps us match you with the most appropriate opportunities. If you prefer to not apply online, please download and complete this Volunteer Application (Word) and email or mail it to Solid Ground’s Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@solid-ground.org or Solid Ground, Attn: Volunteer Coordinator, 1501 N 45th St, Seattle, WA 98103-6708.
2) Washington State Patrol Background Check Form
Whether using the online form or Word application, please download, print and mail or email this form to our Volunteer Coordinator. You can also bring the completed form to a volunteer orientation. Your personal information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold or given to any other organization.
3) Attend a New Volunteer Orientation
We hold volunteer orientations about once a month. Join us to learn more about our mission as an organization, our current volunteer opportunities, and about how staff and volunteers work together on our Anti-Racism Initiative. Attending a volunteer orientation is a requirement for anyone who wants to volunteer at Solid Ground. Visit our Events webpage to view and register for upcoming volunteer orientations (if none are currently listed, check back again soon).
Questions? Contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@solid-ground.org. We look forward to meeting you!
