The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator provides broad administrative support to the human resources function as needed in accordance with agency policy and three union contracts, including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry, report generation, and data analysis. Duties also include assisting with training and development support, special projects for HR Director and HR office operations. This position also requires the employee to maintain the utmost confidentiality.
Essential Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks
25% Provide information to employees by answering requests and questions on various Human Resources policies, procedures and benefits. Provide verifications of employment upon request. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department and conduct special projects for Human Resources Director. Schedule and coordinate meetings/events hosted by department.
20% Update data in the Human Resources Information System. Process change of status forms. Create custom reports that respond to program and department needs. Serve as backup for HR Generalist to enter benefits information.
20% Assist with recruitment and onboarding functions. This includes applicant tracking and distribution of applications to hiring managers, processing and analyzing background checks to ensure compliance with hiring policies, coordinating setup of new hires with IT and Payroll, and completing new hire paperwork in a timely manner. Serve as backup for HR Generalist on hiring process and procedures.
10% Provide Training and Development Support for the development of the Training and Development of the Program.
20 % As organizational coordinator of HR office, create systems for better office organization, including preparing check requests for ORCA transportation cards, classified ad billings, VISA statements, drug testing, and other check requests. Generate and distribute monthly reports as well as ad hoc data. Update forms and documents for Human Resources Department. Order supplies for department. Participate in department and agency meetings and relevant trainings as required.
