The Corporate Giving Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the Workplace Giving Campaign, Staff Giving Campaign, annual Sponsorship portfolio, and supports efforts to engage companies and small businesses through group volunteer and cause marketing opportunities. The Corporate Giving Officer oversees a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies to engage with current and prospective company and individual donors to better understand their interests and potential for greater involvement with Solid Ground. This position reports to the Giving Manager and works closely with the entire Resource Development team to implement the annual strategic fundraising plan.
Essential Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks
30% Manage all aspects of the Workplace Giving Campaign including: campaign registration, organizational presentations, developing donor cultivation, stewardship and solicitation strategies, coordinating with key staff and external vendors and tracking progress toward goals. Work with the Giving Manager to analyze workplace performance and create action plans to increase participation at employers around the region. Routinely run reports, analyze data, track trends and determine corresponding courses of action.
30% Recruit, cultivate and thank corporate sponsors. Working with the Giving Manager and organizational leadership identify and solicit prospective corporate sponsors, update sponsorship offerings, and work with company partners to insure participation at Solid Ground events. Identify opportunities for non-event support such as corporate gifts or grants and work with the appropriate team members to prepare applications. Support event audience development and sponsor recognition efforts. Routinely run reports, analyze data, track trends and determine corresponding courses of action.
10% Develop structure to manage the Cause Marketing actions undertaken by third-party organizations in support of Solid Ground. Track the number of groups raising funds on Solid Ground’s behalf and work with the groups to correctly represent Solid Ground’s work brand. Ensure individual and organizational donors are thanked and given additional opportunities for engagement following such fundraisers.
10% Partner with the Volunteer Services team to build out volunteer opportunities for workplace groups. Work with the Community Food Education program to streamline company opportunities to volunteer at the farm. Support the Volunteer Coordinator on large giving days such as Days of Caring when companies may be present. Ensure companies are thanked and recognized for their donations of time and that any match paperwork is submitted.
10% Database record keeping and reporting. Enter data and manage donor information to ensure accurate, confidential and complete records of actions, relevant information and moves management strategies. Produce regular reports for the Giving Manager and Resource Development Director demonstrating progress towards annual goals. Work with the Data Analyst to prepare specific reports as needed.
5% Maintain up-to-date information on Agency programs and services. Meet with program staff to learn about opportunities for donor engagement. Attend periodic departmental meetings and tour program sites.
5% Participates in departmental, program, and Agency meetings and relevant trainings as required.
