~ Broadview

Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing provides housing for homeless women and children in a secure, confidential facility. Most Broadview residents are domestic violence survivors, and two-thirds are children.

Our mission is to help residents cope with the trauma of displacement and abuse, address the issues that led to their homelessness, develop a strong community support system, and find and secure permanent housing.

Each Broadview family stays in their own furnished apartment with onsite staffing 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Household supplies, personal hygiene items, bus tickets and emergency food are also available.

A safe haven for homeless women & children
Broadview offers a broad range of comprehensive support services onsite including:

  • 24-hour crisis intervention
  • advocacy-based counseling
  • goal setting and weekly progress meetings
  • domestic violence education and support groups
  • legal advocacy
  • addiction recovery services
  • mental health counseling
  • access and referrals to healthcare
  • resource referrals for education, food, legal services and housing

Broadview’s Transitional Housing program can no longer accept direct referrals from families or providers. For a referral to this program at Solid Ground, you must complete an assessment through King County’s Coordinated Entry and Assessment system via Family Housing Connection. Family Housing Connection provides a single access point for shelter and housing resources. If you are pregnant or an adult with at least one child in your care and do not have a place to stay, schedule an appointment by calling 2.1.1 or 1.800.621.4636 to:

  • Meet with a Family Housing Connection specialist
  • Receive a follow up phone call when a housing resource becomes available
  • Meet with housing staff to ensure the best fit for your family
