TEMPORARY PROGRAM CLOSURE
Due to lack of funding and donations at this time, Working Wheels is closed for the summer. We are hopeful that we will be able to secure more cars and additional funding over the summer and be able to reopen the program in the fall of 2010.
If you are in the process of applying for Working Wheels or are already approved, you will be served first when we reopen. You can also try to apply for the Vehicle Ownership Program through Express Credit Union at 206.622.1973.

About Working Wheels
When Working Wheels it up and running, the program sells affordable used cars to eligible workers and job seekers who are having transportation challenges that put them at risk of losing a job or make it difficult to accept a job. The majority of the cars are donated from the City of Seattle and King County.
Designed by the Office of Port Jobs, Working Wheels serves ALL of King County, making it possible for people to buy cars they could not otherwise afford. This allows our clients to succeed in the workplace by providing them with a safe and reliable vehicle at a fair and reasonable cost. Vehicles sell from $1,000 to $3,000 (about half of their normal "retail" price) with low-interest loans from Sound Community Bank.
