More Information | How to Reach Us

For over 35 years, Solid Ground has been proud to present the Fremont Fair, held along the west bank of the Ship Canal near the heart of Fremont. The Fair is located in the funky and friendly Fremont neighborhood — Seattle's own "Center of the Universe." The 2008 Fremont Fair took place on June 21st & 22nd.
The Fair celebrates the Summer Solstice and the best of our community: art, spirit, sharing, celebration and working together to help each other. During Fair weekend, people from all walks of life come together to shop, eat, drink, perform, smile, dance, run, converse, debate, groove and parade. Solid Ground sponsors the food/craft vendors and music, and the Fremont Arts Council sponsors the Solstice Parade.
And while the Fremont Fair emphasizes good times, it also raises funds, awareness and understanding of the needs of people with low incomes in our community. YOU can help "Make It Better!" Bring a few dollars to drop in the orange donation boxes at the main festival entrances. All donations made during this FREE event go directly to fund Solid Ground programs providing shelter, food, advocacy and care for families and individuals with low incomes throughout Seattle and King County.
- 'Make It Better' 2008 Fair video campaign: Google/YouTube crews roved the 2008 Fremont Fair asking fairgoers what they would do to make our community a better place for everyone.
- House Build at the 2007 Fair: Solid Ground teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and the United Way of King County to build a house for a low-income family at the 2007 Fremont Fair. Check out this Seattle P-I videoblog describing it.
- Fremont Fair website: The Fremont Fair maintains a separate website with lots of additional information about this fun and meaningful annual event. Check it out to find out how you can volunteer for next year's Fair!
