- AmeriCorps & VISTA: Solid Ground coordinates National Service positions in Seattle and King County, which offer a modest monthly stipend and an educational award upon completion of a year of service.

Application Process
To get on Solid Ground's general volunteer list, please complete and submit a Volunteer Application form and Washington State Patrol Background Check form. Your personal information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold or given to any other organization. (Please note: Some Solid Ground programs use their own volunteer application forms, so if you are interested in any of the specific volunteer positions listed on our Individual Volunteers or Group Volunteers sections, please see each individual volunteer description for how to apply.)

- Volunteer Application & WSP Background Check form (MS Word): If you prefer not to apply online, please download this Word version of our Volunteer Application and the Washington State Patrol Background Check forms combined. After completing your application, fill out and sign the Background Check,* and mail, fax or email both forms to the contact info below. (*Note: For your Background Check to be complete, it must contain a valid signature – so if emailing your application, please print, sign and scan the Background Check portion of your application, and attach it to your email along with your Volunteer Application.)
